• Legionnaires’ Disease: bacteria in water, treat with antibiotics
• Helicobacter Pylori- gram-negative bacteria that causes stomach ulcers and
inflammation, treat with antibiotics
• Kaposi’s Sarcoma-associated herpes virus (KSHV)- oncovirus, common in HIV
patients. Herpes virus → cancer
• Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)- respiratory virus, coronavirus,
zoonoses
• HIV- zoonosis, Group M is the most common
• Influenza- haemagglutinin and neuraminidase, cause respiratory virus. Long
stalk neuraminidase can allow influenza to be spread via aerosol but is less
pathogenic.
